Dante Belletti is an LA-based actor from Orange County, California. Interested in theater throughout high school and early college years, Dante acquired a degree in Theater and Performance Studies from Stanford University, along with his more responsible Political Science degree, in 2014. He then promptly threw himself into acting and teaching.
Dante continued his training at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater and eventually found his way to SITI’s summer theater program at Skidmore College in 2015. Based in The Viewpoints and the Suzuki Method of Actor Training, this month-long workshop fostered an interest in both postmodernism and physical, embodied performance techniques. Dante further pursued that interest in 2016 by moving to New York City and enrolling in SITI’s year-long acting conservatory.
While training with SITI, Dante met collaborators that form the foundation of his artistic community today. He joined In The Water Theater Company as an associate artist in 2017, creating Panic Everything’s Fine with the company. Later, Dante was integral in rearticulating the company as The SuperGeographics. He continues to make work with The SuperGeographics while also pursuing outside performance opportunities.
Favorite credits include Panic Everything’s Fine (The SuperGeographics), Adam & Evie (Dixon Place), Peer Gynt (The Exit SF), On Beckett (A.C.T.), The Skin of Our Teeth (A.C.T. Costume Shop), Moby Dick Rehearsed (Stanford Rep), and The Beard of Avon (Pear Theatre).
